Method
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet.
Season the chicken with the salt, paprika, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Cook the chicken until fully cooked, then remove it from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, melt the remaining butter and cook the diced onion until softened.
Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute.
Pour in the heavy cream and season with the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and let the sauce simmer until thick and creamy.
Slice the Italian loaf in half lengthwise.
Mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, and black pepper, then spread evenly over both halves of the bread.
Spread a layer of Alfredo sauce over the bread.
Top with shredded mozzarella, followed by the cooked chicken.
Spread another layer of Alfredo sauce over the chicken.
Top with more mozzarella and finish with grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.
Garnish with chopped spring onions or fresh parsley before serving.
Dilruba’s tips
Freshly grated Parmesan melts much more smoothly than pre-shredded Parmesan.
Simmer the Alfredo sauce over low heat to prevent it from separating.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheat in the oven or air fryer for the crispiest results.
