Creamy Tomato and Spinach Meatball Pasta
This creamy tomato and spinach meatball pasta starts with butter, onions, garlic, and fresh cherry tomatoes, then comes together with marinara and heavy cream for a deeply flavored tomato cream sauce. The spinach cooks right into the sauce before the pasta is added, and the whole dish is finished with homemade air-fried meatballs, plenty of Parmesan, and fresh basil.

Method
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, paprika, onion powder, breadcrumbs, and water. Mix until everything is combined, then shape into about 25 small meatballs.
Place the meatballs in the air fryer and cook at 380°F for about 12 minutes, turning halfway through, or until cooked through.
While the meatballs are cooking, prepare your pasta and set it aside.
Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until softened.
Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, stirring continuously.
Add the chopped cherry tomatoes and cook for another 3 minutes, just until they begin to soften while still holding some of their shape.
Stir in the marinara sauce, salt, black pepper, oregano, and fresh basil.
Pour in the heavy cream and mix everything together until the sauce is fully combined.
Add the spinach and continue mixing until the spinach has softened.
Add about 6 cups of cooked pasta, more or less depending on your preference, and mix until the pasta is combined with the sauce.
Top with the cooked meatballs, shredded Parmesan, and fresh basil leaves.
Dilruba’s tips
The meatballs are small, so keep an eye on them in the air fryer. Depending on your air fryer, they may be done a little before or after the 12-minute mark.
For the pasta, use about 6 cups cooked, but you can add a little more or less depending on how saucy you want it.
Let the cherry tomatoes soften without cooking them down completely to maintain some texture in the sauce.
If the sauce feels too thick once the pasta is added, you can loosen it slightly with a small splash of pasta water.
