Method
Cut the cod fillets into sandwich-sized pieces.
In a shallow bowl, beat the eggs.
In a separate bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Dip each piece of cod into the egg wash, then coat completely in the seasoned breadcrumbs.
Place the breaded cod in the air fryer basket and lightly drizzle with olive oil.
Air fry at 400°F for about 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until cooked through and crispy.
To assemble, spread tartar sauce on the bottom bun. Add American cheese, shredded lettuce, and the crispy cod.
Add more tartar sauce over the fish, then finish with the top bun.
