Method
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper, and paprika.
In a second bowl, whisk together the egg, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, and olive oil.
Add the crushed cornflakes to a third bowl.
Coat each chicken tender first in the seasoned flour, then dip it into the egg mixture, and finally press it into the crushed cornflakes until well coated.
Place the chicken tenders in the air fryer and cook at 375°F for about 15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and fully cooked.
While the chicken cooks, prepare the hot honey sauce. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
Add the honey, sriracha, paprika, and chili flakes. Stir until everything is smooth and warmed through. Taste and add salt as needed.
Once the chicken is cooked, place it on a serving plate while still hot and pour the warm hot honey sauce over the top.
Serve immediately with ranch on the side for dipping and enjoy!
Dilruba’s tips
Air fryers can vary in strength, so check the chicken a few minutes early to avoid overcooking. Flip the tenders halfway through so they cook evenly and stay juicy inside.
Feel free to adjust the hot honey sauce to your taste. Add more honey for sweetness, more sriracha or chili flakes for extra heat, or a little more butter for a milder flavor.
